The company was founded in 2006 in Ciudad Real, Spain, as a natural consequence of winning the first prize of the IDEA contest of that year. The IDEA contest reunites yearly the young entrepreneurs from Castilla la Mancha (Spain), offering them the informations and instruments necessary for founding a new commercial initiative.
Initially the object of activity of this company was the adaptation of the Spanish model, the most succesful model in absorbing the European funds, to the realities and necessities from Romania.
In 2007 Global Commercium Development was founded in Bucharest, following the new opportunities appeared after the adherence of Romania to European Union. The specific opportunity were linked to investitions and export and also the preparation and management of projects financed by the structural funds and cohesion funds in partnership with the Spanish public institutions, in this way also contributing to development of the bilateral economic relations between Romania and Spain.
The objective of the company is to support the partners which develop European projects in realizing the activities and reaching the indicators established in these projects. In the same time, Global Commercium Development is one of the beneficiaries which successfully implements strategic and grants projects having a regional, national or european dimension.
Due to its projects, Global Commercium Development approaches fields of activities as education, transition from school to active life,chances equality,labour force occupation and antreprenorship.Global Commercium development pays a special attention to the projects which target helping the communities, vulnerable groups and the man rights.
